Members-only SJ competition on grass. Start time 10am. Middlegrove Farm.

Class 1: Novice (70cm) 
Class 2: Intermediate (80cm)
Class 3: Small Open (90cm) 
£6 per class. Entries preferred in advance. See club booklet for secretary details.

Area 6 Horse Trials Qualifiers - Snowball Farm - 25 May 2015

Another great result for OBHRC members at the Horse Trials qualifier on 24th May. The 80cm team of Chelsea Calvert, Heather Counsell, Janine Modder and Jillie Luff came 2nd, with Chelsea coming 2nd as an individual as well. The 90cm team of Amy Kearney, Louise Atkins and Jo Cunliffe were not placed but put in some really good performances. Well done everyone!

Area 6 Novice Show Jumping QualifiersArea 6 Novice Show Jumping Qualifiers - 12 May 2015

**HOT OFF THE PRESS** Congratulations to the Show Jumping team of Anka Taylor, Sally Symington, Tillie Stokes and Jillie Luff who won the Novice Area Show Jumping Qualifier at Wheatlands Farm on Sunday 10th May. After fierce competition including all members of the team having to jump-off, the win means they will be off to Lincoln for the National Championships in September. 


Intermediate Winter Dressage Championships - 12 May 2015

OBHRC qualified a team and one individual for this Championship, held on 2nd May at Bury Farm. The team of Chris Parrott, Charlotte Osmond, Charlotte Rollinson and Sara-Jane Stilwell were unfortunately not placed, however Sara-Jane and Zakynthos were placed 7th individually in the Elementary class.  Our individual rider, Marion Wallbridge on Nicholas Nickelby was also placed, ending up 4th in the Novice 28. Well done everyone!

OBHRC Spring Training Camp - 01 May 2015

12 OBH members have just spent the most fantastic weekend at Foxhill Farm (link here) for our annual training camp. A big thank you to Lesley Smith and her team at Foxhill for making the weekend such a great success and thank you to everyone who came for being so fantastic. We hope you all enjoyed it and are ready for the season now!!!

OBH is an Affiliated Riding Club

The OBH Riding Club was started in 1948 by members of the Old Berkeley Hunt who wanted to ride together in the summer. Colonel Phipps was a founding member and we still award the Phipps trophy, a very beautiful, mounted hunting horn, to the member accruing the most points throughout the year.&

We welcome members from the age of 18 and the club caters for a wide range of disciplines. We run open competitions which anyone can enter, from a showing show through to a one day event, and a series of members shows.

The club offers training at all levels for flatwork, Cross Country and Show Jumping. We encourage a social aspect to the club as well, with an annual quiz and sometimes a BBQ at the members’ events, while people wait for results. The OBHRC is affiliated to the BHS via British Riding Clubs. We send teams to all sorts and levels of qualifiers, drawn from whoever is interested. If you would like to have a go at any team competition, BRC or otherwise, please let us know. The club affiliation also gives you a BRC membership number and entitles you to Rider magazine, a national championship structure in several disciplines, easy access to advice and information, third party insurance at club events and various discounts.
